Project Typology: Restaurant and Market
Size: 3,500 SF
Location: Atlanta, GA
Status: Under Construction
A successful chef creating another business typology highlighting two facets of their existing brand identity: high-end omakase paired with a patisserie known for exquisite fare.
A totally new space functioning as both a patisserie-coffee shop and a boutique communal sushi counter deeper in the space.
Part of the design concept is a study of the intersection between transitions of intimacy from public to private and how volume and materiality can layer together as a design language to inform and unite space.
“By blending soft, muted whites with a custom graphic wallcovering, and anchoring with a deep green hue, the space becomes an inviting hub for both a quick cup of coffee or pastry as well as a lingering seat at the bar for drinks and small bites later in the day. ”
-
Although there are two different restaurant functions in the space, it was a key design directive to maintain a consistent branded identity for the entire design. An identity which also resonated with the existing brand aesthetic at the other Lucky Momo restaurant locations in Atlanta.
-
The project has to strike the balance between the approachable cafe-style coffee counter and market at the entryway of the space with the more intimate omakase counter located deeper in the venue. Using the compression of space and curated views into the deeper zones allows the bustle of the market typology have a degree of buffer to the quieter dining areas.

The materiality of the space conveys an approachable, yet inviting atmosphere.
Keep it bright, airy and refreshingly honest
